Key facts and figures
The 2026 edition demonstrated strong international momentum as thousands of worldwide trade professionals gathered to source, network, and explore cutting-edge interior home textile solutions. The fair’s visitor profile is diversifying not only in the traditional market, but also in emerging markets. A major business activity on the show floor was the presence of over 30 international buyer delegations spanning 20+ countries and regions. These delegations brought together key decision-makers across the entire supply chain, including manufacturers, designers, buying houses, distributors, chain stores, and high-profile retailers. Notably, sourcing teams and senior representatives from renowned global brands such as Adeo, IKEA, LC Waikiki, Li & Fung, Man Wah, METRO Sourcing, Nien Made, Nitori, OBI, Otto International, Tchibo and Tesco, and more, actively explored the halls to secure partnerships for their upcoming collections.

Future-focused fringe events inspire the industry
The fringe programme empowered the industry across four key pillars: Palette, Go-Green, Connector and NextGen. A major highlight was the Intertextile Int’l Lifestyle Trend Area 2027, led by globally renowned trend forecaster NellyRodi™ Agency and Mr Shen Lei, Founder and Design Director of Interior Architects Design. Exploring the vital rhythm of “Breathe Up” to restore balance and optimism, the space unveiled fresh ways of shaping homes – from creative abundance to calming minimalism.
Global experts also provided actionable insights throughout the show floor. Mr Adriano Tadeu Barbosa (Brazil) explored Latin American consumer behaviours and growth strategies, highlighting the growing influence of architects and interior designers. Complementing these perspectives, experienced interior designers Mr Byron Lee led curated guided tour, sharing practical guidance on evaluating material quality, colour storytelling, and trend applications. Meanwhile, the insightful seminar ‘AI Has Arrived: Practical Intelligence for Home Textile Enterprises’ by Mr Dylan Chen offered a reusable implementation methodology, equipping enterprises to seamlessly adopt AI tools and capture transformative business benefits.

Fairgoers celebrate a successful and international edition
“In the past, we exported a significant volume of upholstery fabrics and finished products to China, and we are now exploring opportunities to expand that business. Carpets are a relatively new category for us, and this is the first time we’re actively targeting the Chinese market. This international fair gave us access not only to buyers in the country but also to visitors from Central Asia, the Middle East, and North Africa. Over the first two days, we’ve generated a strong number of contacts; we exchanged samples and specifications and look forward to following up after the fair.”
Mr Tolga Emrah, Sales Marketing Manager, Isik Kadife, Türkiye (exhibitor) “As one of the world’s top DIY retailers, we have over 1,000 physical stores in 26 countries, and over 14 private label brands. We’re here sourcing fabrics for curtains, throws, cushion covers and more, from targeted and existing suppliers. Some are also connecting us with their own upstream sources for trending functional materials such as 100% blackout, heat protection and noise cancellation. We’re also seeking fully recyclable TPU coatings. Many exhibitors here can already put this into practice, which was an unexpected discovery. We will come back next year for sure.”

Mr Andy Zeng, Sourcing Leader, Decoration & Textile, Adeo, France (visitor) “In my presentation I talked about Latin American home textiles opportunities. My research is in the field, and I have many insights about consumer behaviour. We have two big chances to connect China with Latin America – through hospitality, and through architects and designers. Intertextile Shanghai Home Textiles is a huge opportunity, because here we are thinking together and talking about textiles emerging. Using this platform is so important to me because it’s a good opportunity to stay connected.
