Global multi-brand e-retailer Amazon is heavily dependent on two Asian major economies—India and China—for apparel and home textiles. Together, the two countries account for more than 54 percent of Amazon’s total 353 apparel suppliers. Likewise, in home textiles, more than half of the suppliers are from India, while over a quarter is from China.
In terms of apparel suppliers to Amazon, India tops the list with 109 (30.88 percent) suppliers, according to market insight tool TexPro. China is in the second position with 83 (23.51 percent) suppliers. Vietnam (83 suppliers), Bangladesh (47), Sri Lanka (30), Indonesia (12), Turkey (7) and Pakistan (5) are the other major countries that supply apparels to Amazon.
As per Texpro, Amazon has 60 suppliers all over the world for home textiles. India tops the segment with 31 (51.67 percent) suppliers, followed by China with 17 suppliers, Turkey 3, the US 3, and Pakistan 2.
