Soft-Tex International, a manufacturer of comfort products, has partnered with Belgian innovator Devan Chemicals to adopt the cannabidiol (CBD) solution from its R-Vital range.
Devan’s R-Vital range comprises formulas that offer various health benefits, such as Ubiquinol and Argon oil, which are contained in microcapsules before being applied to textiles. In use, the idea is that friction causes these capsules to open, disbursing the formula that can be absorbed by the skin over time, even after multiple wash cycles.
For items such as pillows, mattress protectors and mattress pads then, Devan’s CBD solution is deemed idyllic because the oil – derived from hemp – is renowned for its relaxation properties. Taken in other forms, CBD combats anxiety and fatigue, so it’s hoped that by offering a slow release through its sleep range, Soft-Tex can improve the quality of sleep its customers get.
