Online mattress retailer Helix has launched an all-natural sleep brand called Birch Living. The new brand’s main offering is a medium-firm hybrid mattress, which combines all-natural materials, including: organic cotton, birch wool sourced from ethically managed farms in New Zealand and compliant with the PGC Wrightson wool integrity program, Talalay latex that is OKEO-TEX and Rainforest Alliance Certified, and individually wrapped steel coils that provide extra edge support.
The Birch mattress, which is handmade in the US, retails starting at $1,049 for a twin and is available in sizes up to California king. The company has also created a plush pillow top with three-inches of additional plushness that combines birch wool and Talalay latex, along with the birch organic pillow that is filled with a combination of shredded birch wool and a 100 per cent organic cotton outer shell.
Birch Living says it’s committed to always using materials that pass rigorous testing to achieve the highest standards while also ensuring sustainability at each step in the supply chain. One per cent of all company sales will go toward the Birch For Good program to support the National Forest Foundation.
