A wave of “joyful co lors” and bold, graphic patterns inspired by the 1960s just hit Ikea by way of South London. The international home furnishings chain has partnered with British creative studio Kangan Arora for a new spring 2019 collection encompassing home textiles, tableware and serve ware across more than 20 products. Product categories include bedding, rugs, soft furnishings, dinnerware, trays and fabric. The collection is rolling out in stores and online this month.
Kangan Arora specializes in print and pattern design, working across interiors, textiles, branding and packaging. Based in South London, the studio said its work is “driven by a love of colour, geometry and visual storytelling.” Signature styles assimilate shapes and unexpected juxtapositions for screenprinting, hand weaving, embroidery and quilting. Some of Kangan Arora’s other recent collaborations and projects include Urban Outfitters.
